LiDAR Tools for ENVI
These tools are add-on components used to process and analyze LiDAR data in the ENVI remote sensing software package.
Accuracy Assessor 1.0
This tool is in Beta Testing. We welcome all comments and suggestions.
Accuracy Assessor is a simple Visual Basic script that is intended to automate accuracy assessments of classifications from remotely sensed imagery in ArcGIS. The script was written in ArcGIS 9.1, its compatibility to other versions of software is untested.
Web-based Mapping of Study Areas
The Google Maps API is used to display the maps of BCAL study areas, including image overlays of LiDAR hillshades and downloadable KML files of area boundaries.
Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analytical Tools
BCAL’s software includes several remote sensing and GIS software platforms. We most widely use ENVI/IDL, ESRI, and MapWindow.
ENVI
ENVI is software for the visualization, analysis, and presentation of all types of digital imagery. It includes advanced apectral tools, geometric correction, terrain analysis, radar analysis, raster and vector GIS capabilities, and extensive support for images.
